Terms & Conditions
Security Excess Deposit
A security excess deposit of £1000.00 is required upon collection of the vehicle. We accept ONLY debit cards. Your security deposit DOES NOT have to be paid with the same card you booked on. This can be paid with debit card (under NO circumstances can this be paid in cash) This payment must be made at the time of collection, if you are unable to do so the hire of the vehicle will not commence. The excess deposit is fully refundable 24 hours after return of the vehicle without damage. If damage occurs, the deposit will be held for longer than 24 hours until an agreement of further action. We expect the camper to be returned to us in the same state it was given (full checks are completed before and after collection) given the usual wear and tear, anything that affects an onward rental or needs replacing will be charged from the security deposit and the remaining amount returned to you.
Booking Deposit
When booking online and selecting the ‘offline payment’ option you will receive instructions on how to pay via bank transfer. If the 50% deposit for the booking is not received within 48 hours of you making the booking, the booking will then be forfeited and cancelled, and the dates released back out.
In the event of booking within 24 hours of pick up, full payment must be received by midnight on the day before rental e.g., you book on 1st to take camper on 2nd, full payment and documents must be received by midnight on the 1st.
Covid-19 Policy
PLEASE NOTE - we are currently NOT renting for European travel due to the uncertainty and ever-changing requirements for restrictions throughout Europe.
If travelling into another country within the UK or EU you must check local and national restrictions beforehand. In the event of a lockdown being put into place while you have the campervan, and you are unable to return it on the return date agreed and this results in other bookings being cancelled you will be charged a full day rate for every day over the return. If there are no forward bookings you will not be charged.
We will NOT be able to give any refund of monies if your onward travels are cancelled due to Covid -19, for example, holiday/camp sites changing rules and having to close. We would strongly suggest having travel insurance and checking your travel insurance prior to travelling to ensure you’re covered for all outcomes.
Campervan Insurance
Our campervan come with fully comprehensive insurance. There is an additional cost of £5 per day for European cover. It is highly recommended that personal travel insurance is taken out to cover against any unforeseen circumstances such as breakdown or an accident that result in the termination of your hire.
Kent campervan hire will not be responsible for losses, hotel costs or any other expenses resulting from breakdowns or accidents.
Our insurance does not cover damage, theft or loss of any contents that are in the vehicle during rental.
When travelling into Europe from the UK you will now need to have a hard copy of a green card.
